For weekend appointments, it is best to schedule a minimum of 3 weeks in advance, as availability is limited.

Assistant.

My assistant is generally present in all newborn sessions to assist with safety and smooth transitions between posing.

My usual assistant will be on maternity leave from March 1st, 2026 - May 1st, 2026. In the meantime, I hope to fill her spot temporarily.

Wardrobe.

Maternity gowns are available to use for all sessions. For newborn sessions, we request that families wear all black, as seen in the images in my portfolio.

For baby, I do supply all blankets, outfits, props, and accessories—you don’t need to bring anything but that beautiful babe!

Backgrounds.

Studio maternity is typically photographed on a white or black background.

Newborn family images are always photographed on a black background.

Baby and milestone sessions utilize a variety of custom curated fabric backgrounds for your little one’s session.

Custom sets are designed for your little one’s first birthday session, based on your chosen theme.

Hair & Makeup.

Hair and makeup is not available in studio at this time. We do have a list of recommended hair and makeup artists throughout Northwest Indiana, Michiana, and the Chicago Region.

Ordering.

In addition to your digital package, I offer a full product catalog of prints, heirloom albums, wall art, memory chests, and my Signature 9 mega mat.

Most ordering appointments are held in studio 3 weeks after your session date to choose your final images and additional products.

At no time are RAW or unedited images included in any package. Images are high resolution on your USB drive and in your online gallery for digital download.

To guarantee quality control, I do always suggest ordering prints and products through me.

Payments.

Payments are made in full by your session date (or the first session date for bundled packages). All orders must be paid for in full at the time of your ordering session.

There is a $500 non-refundable retainer that is due at the time of booking for ALL sessions. This retainer will be used to secure your session date, and/or hold your due date temporarily until you give birth. Your retainer will be applied toward the total balance of your purchase package.

I accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and cash. Sales tax will not be applied on your non-refundable retainer, but will apply to the remaining balance of your purchased package and all product orders.

Scheduling.

Maternity sessions are best done between 28-32 weeks. This timeframe is ideal since you have likely not started swelling too much yet, you are likely still feeling mobile enough to enjoy your session, and generally not too uncomfortable!

Sessions are best done in the first 14 days of birth. Your due date is held as a temporary placeholder within my calendar, and session dates are finalized within 24-28 hours after birth, barring complications. If you are scheduled for induction or c-section, please reach out beforehand to schedule your newborn session in advance!

Social Media Policy.

While I do try to post most sessions online, I will always respect my families’ right to privacy. If you do not wish to have certain images or your entire gallery posted publicly, please mention this prior to your session at booking.
